Anna Thea Madsen is a Danish shuttler currently training full time at the Danish National Badminton Centre. Anna has been playing badminton since the age of six and currently represents Danish club Værløse as well as the National squad.

Anna is currently ranked #43 in the BWF world rankings and has a string of successes under her belt, including winning the Welsh Open in 2015 and Finnish Open in 2016. Anna was part of the Danish team which won the Women’s Team Championship in 2014 & 2016, as well the 2015 European Mixed Team Championship winning team. Anna has also represented Denmark in the prestigious Uber Cup & the Sudirman Cup

When asked about the prospect of playing in the NBL with the Suffolk Saxons, Anna commented, "I'm delighted to be involved with the Suffolk Saxons for the upcoming 2016/2017 NBL season. I have been following the NBL throughout the last two seasons, and I really like it being different to other badminton leagues, with the fast and short games along the power-play scenario. I can't wait to get the season started and hopefully help guide the Saxons to winning ways".
